INTERIOR DESIGNER

The Freelon Group, a nationally recognized firm located in North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Interior Designer with proven skills in interpreting, developing, communicating , and delivering comprehensive interior architectural design. The selected candidate must be capable of contributing to all phases of design and have design diversity to apply insights from one building type to another.

Qualifications:
Experienced Interior Designer who brings a minimum of 5 years experience in relevant work experience and sustainable interior environments.

• Interior Design or Interior Architecture degree from an accredited program (Master’s or Bachelor’s)
• NCIDQ Certified; LEED AP or LEED AP, ID+C desired
• Autocad and/or Revit proficient with the ability to utilize SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
• Strong portfolio showing project work

Responsibilities, Skills and Knowledge:
• Work  seamlessly in a team environment to develop designs holistically-from programming through construction administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, visualization skills and collaborative work style.
• Meet  with clients to define program requirements and establish interior design parameters based on client requirements/needs.
• Manage client interactions and decisions related to interior design.
• Strong understanding of Interior Space Planning, color/material selection, FF&E specifications, Budgeting, Construction Document preparation and Construction Administration & Installation.
• Knowledge of finish materials and applicable guides and codes.
• Generate and develop overall interior design concepts, formulate presentation material and make presentations.
• Manage projects  consistent with project budget, program and schedules related to interior design efforts.
• Ability to listen, consistently meet deadlines, complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail.
• Good work ethic.
