The Freelon Group was featured in a 7 page spread in the March 2006 edition of Metropolis Magazine. The article centered on Freelon's museum portfolio which included the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture which opened June 2005 in Baltimore' Inner Harbor, the Museum of the African Diaspora which opened in December 2005 in the Yerba Buena District of San Francisco, and the International Civil Rights Center and Museum under construction in Greensboro.
