Hillside High School was designed for 1,200 students initially and will ultimately house 1,600 students. Located on an irregular site, the building was positioned to take advantage of the boundary angles and sloping terrain that might otherwise have been considered "problems" on a site of this nature. The interior athletic facilities and playing fields are positioned adjacent to each other to facilitate ease of movement and supervision of all athletic programs.
