The new Student Services and Classroom Building serves as a hub for student business and support in addition to creating a focal point and being a welcome portal into campus. The new facility creates a building that is unmistakably the principal building on campus that inherently attracts the campus and visitors to its doors. The facility was sited to strengthen the connection between Cooper and Lawson Streets and to ultimately link the center of campus to its perimeter facilities.
The 58,500 Sq. Ft. facility houses a welcome center, admissions, records and registration, computer labs, bookstore, cafe, classrooms, and multipurpose areas. The cafeteria provides food service for the majority of the students and includes a full service kitchen with catering capabilities. The dining area accommodates 150 people inside with additional outdoor seating. The design incorporates the use of natural light and the importance of integrated landscaping.
